The Art History of Ashtrays

According to Wikipedia, the word “ashtray” in unhyphenated form, rather than “ash tray” or “ash-tray”, did not come into common use until 1926.

The main function of ashtrays was used to collect the ashes and filters from cigarettes or cigars, so smokers can put their ashes and cigarette ends to the ashtrays without polluting the area.

Ashtrays was existed long before the 19th century as women began to smoke in the early 1900s. At that time, many women were smoke cigarettes and avoided to use the ashtrays to reflect their feminine values, but movement was failed.

We can see ashtrays rest on the table in coffee shops or cafes. The shape of ashtrays usually has a shallow cylinder with a flat base, but now there are various design of ashtrays and features we can see on online marketplaces or in public areas, such as the standalone ashtrays as you can find it near to the bus station, portable ashtrays where smokers can put it in their bag and bring it everywhere or portable ashtrays with modern features that can fully extinguished the cigarettes fire right away after the cigarettes inside the tube.

But, long before that, the ashtrays were featured in the vehicles in 1994. This featured allow smokers to smoke cigarettes in their vehicles without throwing cigarette butts on the street. But the featured was not success and the popularity of ashtrays inside the vehicles is disappeared.

Smokers need to asked their dealer or buy the portable ashtray or automatic ashtray in order to include it in their vehicle so they can smoke cigarettes while driving. Smoker can find the portable ashtrays on marketplace online or find it in the convenience stores nearby.

The function of ashtrays is various now. Many companies are created ashtrays as merchandises and sell it online. But interestingly, there are many people who are not smokers are buying the ashtrays as their collection.

This is a fact that the art of ashtrays is still going and it will always be there in the future.

Smoke Cabin

Smoke Solution develops a set of efficient filtering system that can remove most of the airborne pollutants. There is an automatic motion sensor installed in each of the cabin and alternatively regulates the speed of the filtering system according to the movement inside the cabin. For their filters, Smoke Solution uses its own produced CO 2 neutral coconut charcoal. The harvest of the coconut shells is in a sustainable manner, without posing any harm to palm trees, animal habitats or the environment.

The ashtrays of the smoking cabins are fireproof and self-extinguishable. Lighted cigarette thrown into the ashtray will be extinguished and thus remove the risk of fire. Smoke cabins are modular and freestanding, they can be resized and relocated to fit in different locations, and follow the user patterns.
